XK150

Drive the fastest production car of its day

The XK models of the mid-to-late Forties were Jaguars earliest sports cars – the first of which, the XK120, took its name from its top speed. That made it the fastest production car of its day, a claim which caused such astonishment that Jaguar decided to hold a public display on a closed section of dual carriageway near the town of Jabbeke, Belgium.

The XK range was subsequently refined and upgraded throughout the following decade until the XK150 came along in 1957. As well as receiving engine, suspension and styling upgrades, it was also the first roadgoing Jaguar to be fitted with disc brakes, which had so far only been tested on the company’s endurance racers.

Of course, the XK name lives on in today’s Jaguar range, but with a drive of an historic XK150, guests of the Jaguar Heritage Driving Experience will see for themselves where the legend began. The XK150 Historic Drive Experience includes 15 minutes of time behind the wheel, and each guest will be accompanied by a Jaguar driving expert.
