Half Day Experience

When the Jaguar team arrived at Le Mans in 1951, nobody was quite prepared for what happened next. The team’s three C-types were the first Jaguars designed solely with racing in mind and had been completed just in time for the race. That didn’t stop Stirling Moss from breaking the lap record and Peter Walker and Peter Whitehead – in a sister car – from recording a remarkable race victory at the company’s first attempt.

In the seven years that followed, Jaguar cars would win the famous race another four times. The C-type evolved into the D-type, which owed its distinctive design – including the dorsal fin behind the driver’s head – to legendary aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer.

The Le Mans Experience is your chance to experience these legendary endurance racers for yourself, while in the reassuring company of a Jaguar driving expert. You’ll feel the wind whistle around your helmet and imagine what it might have been like to speed down the Mulsanne Straight in the dead of night, engine roaring over the cheering crowds.

You will also drive the D-type’s roadgoing counterpart, the XKSS, plus their modern-day successor, the F-TYPE R Coupe.
