The E-type isn’t just an iconic Jaguar. It’s also a symbol of Britain itself, as recognisable as a red post box or a bowler hat. It helped to define the Sixties and influenced the future of all sports cars no matter who made them or where. It also had the best of both worlds, with beautiful styling shaped by aerodynamics and genuinely astonishing performance.
It’s not every day you get to see an E-type, let alone to drive one. Unless of course you choose this particular Jaguar Heritage Driving Experience, in which you’ll drive the iconic machine back-to-back with its modern equivalent, the F-TYPE.
The two might be separated by 50 years, but the similarities are striking: long bonnets housing powerful engines, beautifully streamlined bodywork and rear-wheel-drive configurations that make them as exciting to drive as they are to look at.
After arrival at , guests will be chauffeured to the track area before dropping into the driver’s seat for a 15-minute drive in each car. Each guest will be accompanied by a Jaguar Driving Expert, there to help you get the most from the cars. When the action is over, there’s a chance to look at another stunning E-type – a 1961 original – in the ‘Perfect Ten' exhibit.
If you have a soft spot for British sports cars, it doesn’t get much better than this.
